In the US, a police officer arrested a courier for a felony and delivered his order himself.
Around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, a surveillance camera on the campus of George Mason University, Virginia, captured a food delivery vehicle with multiple warrants out for the driver. After the car was apprehended, it was discovered that the 32-year-old delivery driver, Nicholas Wolf, had been reported for aggravated assault.
“Sgt. Grant assisted with the arrest. He spoke with the driver and promised that he would deliver customers’ orders for him,” an official statement from campus police said.
Wolf explained to Grant how to use the courier app and get the customer’s address. After that, the sergeant went to deliver the order.
The students were very surprised that the food was brought to them by a police officer. Moreover, it turned out that they already knew Grant – he had previously given them a talk on developing the university’s student communities.
