In the Spanish town of Pravia, Asturias province, flocks of crows began attacking the homes and cars of local residents.
The townspeople noticed the aggressive behavior of birds in May. Crows for some unknown reason began crashing into the windows of houses and cars with all their might. The birds hurt themselves to the point of bleeding, but did not stop. According to a local resident, she saw 17 crows breaking into the window of one of the houses. The woman also said that because of the incessant attacks, her neighbor had to repaint his car because it was scratched by the birds.
At first, local residents thought that the crows were protecting their cubs from danger in this way. However, the aggressive behavior of birds did not end even after the end of the mating period. Now some townspeople assume that the crows attack the houses because of the lack of food and the constant destruction of their natural habitat.
The local authorities and the mayor of the city have been receiving complaints from concerned residents for months, but despite numerous attempts to stop the birds have failed. The authorities have tried to catch the crows with traps and scare them away with special balloons, but to no avail. They now plan to use nets to keep the birds away from homes.
