An airplane pilot after consuming hallucinogenic mushrooms tried to shut off the engine during a flight because he thought he was dead and going to hell
An Alaska Airlines pilot has been charged with the attempted murder of more than 80 people after he allegedly tried to turn off the engines of a flying airplane.
He said in an interview that he had consumed “magic mushrooms” shortly before the incident and had not been sleeping well. And during the flight, the man thought he was dead and in hell, so he decided to stop the engines in an attempt to “go back.”
The pilot was prevented from doing so, after which he was arrested.
