In India, two doctors from the state of Uttar Pradesh got drunk with a hospital janitor and staged a mass brawl that caused a kilometer-long traffic jam.
The instigators of the riot were employees of the Bareli hospital. According to the police report, after drinking alcohol, the trio “went on a rampage” and began attacking passers-by. The medics molested women, bullied passers-by and also severely beat up a young man who had left his house to buy sweets. The victim was later hospitalized with serious injuries.
Several men, angered by the behavior of the debauchees, got into a scuffle. Two police officers soon arrived on the scene, but the doctors put up fierce resistance. They fought with the policemen and tore their uniforms. In the end, the law enforcers managed to twist two of the aggressive hospital workers. The third managed to escape.
During the mass brawl, a kilometer-long traffic jam formed on the street. It took police officers about an hour to fully restore traffic. Law enforcement agencies said that the detainees will be charged under criminal articles and will remain behind bars until the trial.
