These animals combine the survival skills of wild boars with the high fecundity of huge domestic pigs to create a “super pig” that is out of control.
They have been called “the most aggressive animal on the planet” and an “ecological disaster.”
In addition, “superpigs” are intelligent, adaptable and omnivorous. They tolerate cold weather very well and reproduce quickly. A sow can give birth and raise six piglets twice in one year.
These animals, dangerous to humans, cause about $2.5 billion dollars worth of crop damage each year.
Now, “superpigs” from Canada are threatening to invade the United States because of their rapidly growing population.
Northern states are already taking action to stop the invasion.
