If she continues to develop at this rate, this youngster could have a future in the WNBA.
Magnolia Thomas, the 18-month-old daughter of proud mother Clara Thomas, is an abnormally tall youngster who just keeps getting bigger: She presently weighs more than most children her age and is three feet tall.
Magnolia is even taller than her 3-year-old elder sister.
“But her doctor says she’s growing exactly where Magnolia needs to be, that it has nothing to do with what she eats or does, but that it’s purely genetic,” said Clara, 19
However, when they first observed their kid towering above their other daughter, Clara and her spouse Arthur Thomas confess they were taken aback.
The stay-at-home mother is little over five feet tall, and Arthur is six feet tall when mounted.
Since she turned one, Clara’s kid has maintained the same weight and clothing size, according to the Arkansas native.
The not-so-tiny tot can even wear her older sister’s clothing, but shoes are a different story.
To keep up with Magnolia’s lengthy growth spurt, Clara has to purchase her new shoes every month.
Magnolia’s physicians advised the family that she is in the 99th percentile for children her age in terms of both weight and height, so Clara has no concerns about Magnolia’s health.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, an 11-month-old infant boy weighs an average of around 22.8 pounds, although the World Health Organization states that the average weight is more like 24.5 pounds.
Magnolia has strong motor skills and is “very advanced for her age,” as evidenced by the fact that she can clean her own teeth and unlock doors. The fact that Magnolia can already talk in short phrases, according to her parents, has made them quite “impressed” with her speech.
She effectively expresses all of her wants, Clara continued. The same was true of her sibling.
She is a delight to be around, I must say. She offers the nicest bear hugs and says hello to everyone we pass in the town. We are so grateful for her and her sister, and to know her is to adore her,” the parent gushed.
However, it appears that Kason Priego, a baby from New York City, has Magnolia’s number: in April 2022, when he was only 11 months old, Kason had the appearance of a 3-year-old.
At the time, parent Alexa Priego told The Post, “People stop me on the street to tell me how cute he is.” When they learn his age, their mouths drop open.
He was born to the Upper West Side woman in May 2021, and he was a healthy 7 pounds, 14 ounces. Kason is enormous because Alexa overproduces milk, which is another reason. She became aware of this fact when, after two months of nursing, the baby had grown unusually “chunky.”
She mentioned that Kason weighed roughly 30 pounds and was dressed in clothing meant for children ages 3 and older when she talked with The Post last year.
The director of the hospital is also a mother to Owen, 10, and Gracie, 4, who were also big babies.
“They were very big babies,” Alexa told The Post. However, when they grew older and began to exercise, the weight just dropped off.
Kason has been weaned off of the mother’s breast milk and is now on formula.
has finally started to lose his lovely arm rolls and big cheeks, which Alexa found “kind of sad.”
