In the USA, a Florida teenager quarreled with relatives over insufficient Christmas presents and killed his sister.
The situation occurred in Pinellas County on Sunday, December 24. Two siblings – 14-year-old Damarcus, 15-year-old Darcus and 23-year-old Abrielle – went to the mall to shop for gifts with their mother.
After making their purchases, they arrived at the family’s grandmother’s house where they were going to spend the holidays. There, the brothers began to fight, as Damarcus thought that Darkus got more presents. After a while, Abrielle ordered them to stop fighting, “because it’s Christmas.” Damarcus then grabbed a gun, shot his sister and left the house.
A short time later, Darkus ran outside with another gun and shot Damarcus before fleeing the scene. His sister and brother were taken to the hospital. Abriel could not be treated by doctors. She is survived by two young children. Her brother is in stable condition.
Darkus later contacted his mother and was taken to a psychiatric hospital because he “tried to harm himself” after the incident. He was charged with attempted murder and tampering with evidence. Damarcus is charged with willful commission of a felony.
